General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Los Angeles County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
The independent company that performs the restoration work
Torrance Water Damage Restoration receives telephone and online requests for water damage help in Torrance and Los Angeles County and refers each one out. It does not extract water, operate drying equipment, assess damage, remediate mold or carry out repairs. An independent local restoration company, the partner assigned to your job, performs that work, and that company alone is responsible for its inspection, its estimate, its equipment, its technicians and its workmanship.
That company, not this website, is obliged to hold whatever licences, permits and registrations California and the relevant local agencies require for the work it performs, to employ or engage people accordingly, and to maintain its own insurance. Repair and reconstruction after drying falls under a contractor licence issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). This website holds no contractor licence of any kind, claims none, and makes no representation that it has verified any company's licence, insurance or certifications on your behalf.
The assigned company's CSLB licence number is given on request, by telephone when you call this line or when the company calls you before the visit. It is not printed on this website because the number is that company's to disclose. Verify any number you are given through the CSLB's public licence lookup before repair work begins, and ask the city's building division about permits for the repair. Restoration certifications held by individual technicians are industry credentials and are not state licences; nothing on this website should be read as a guarantee of coverage, of an outcome or of an arrival time.
Call and ask for the CSLB licence number (833) 490-5225

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in California is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
